Popular among hot-rodders and collectors, the 1940 Ford Coupe remains an automotive machine of beauty, no matter how it's been customized. The sleek lines of yesteryear combined with the muscle car engines that generate power in the 400 hp range make these cars super-awesome. They look and sound great!
Today I share a few photos of one I captured at the Mecum Car Auction in Harrisburg Pennsylvania recently.

As you can see, this is far from it's original condition. This baby may have $10 k or more of paint on her. Needless to say, photos really don't capture the complete and true beauty of these magnificent creations.
Below we have a look at the rear of the car.
The split rear window and the sleek fastback style adds a bit of drama to the overall look. Let's move on to a quick peek of the interior.
And lastly, this across the hood shot which shows the louvers, curves, and those fancy flames of the front end. In my opinion, this is strictly a show car as it is far to nice to to drive regularly.
This outstanding collectible custom car was still for sale when I left the event but I feel certain that she found a new owner. :-)
