Summer is Gone

Summer is Gone

With Labor Day marking the unofficial end of Summer here in the US, it's time for a catch up post to cover the past many weeks I haven't updated this blog. Suffice it to say that this Summer has been a fast, furious and busy affair. So much so that I have been behind the scenes recalibrating my business strategies and preparing for the next chapter in this photographic journey.

Maersk Line

Maersk Line

Like many, I have always enjoyed seeing ships at sea. There is something special about these huge vessels moving gracefully across the water in silence.

In the previous post I mentioned my visit to one of my favorite getaways, Maryland's Eastern Shore. While there I took a quick side trip to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge which is located about a dozen miles south of Cambridge. The refuge, which consists of some 28,000 acres of marsh, wetlands and forests was established in 1933 to provide a habitat for migratory birds that use the Atlantic Flyway.

Midnight Magic

Midnight Magic

This past weekend I spent the days and nights on Maryland's eastern shore, a place I love to visit for it's southern style hospitality and country living style. Yes, it is still a part of the state of Maryland but in many ways makes you feel like you have left town and visited some other place.
