Atrium at the Met

Happy Monday everyone! As anticipated, the weekend whizzed by quickly. Seems it was compressed into a single day. In today's post we return to New York City where we'll view an atrium at The Met. One of many such areas, this particular one is quite large and seems to be one of the main hangouts for visitors. Great place to meetup or reassemble if you've gone in separate directions. In many ways it's like a train station or airport, with people coming and going continuously. Let's have a look below to get a feel for the place.

The image above would have been quite cluttered with visitors had I waited to grab this shot. I took this soon after opening.

On the other end of the court we have the entrance to the Early American wing of the museum. Within there are rooms and furnishings dating back to the 18th century and beyond. We will visit many of those room in future posts.

I hope these conveyed some sense of how large this area truly is, although I wonder if images can really do it justice. :-)

Thanks so much for visiting!
