One of the many places I like to hang out is on the eastern shore of Maryland. Like the western shore, you'll find a thousand outlets to rivers and tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. One such outlet is Slaughter Creek, which separates Taylors Island from the mainland. Slaughter Creek is also the place where this "Daybreak" image was created. Needless to say, I have taken many photos of the area, one of which is shown below.

This is a very common scene wherever boats are located and I have been hard pressed to explain why I like this particular view, other than "there is just something about it". ;-)
In any case, I share it and this B&W version for your feedback and critique.
The image was taken in late evening as the sky was transitioning toward the blue hour. I recall this being an extremely hot day so the fact that the sun was dipping below the horizon was a good thing indeed.
The black & white version was converted using Topaz Lab's Black & White Effects.
Thanks so much for visiting!
