Canoes for Rent

Welcome to a new week in the world of photography, everyone! I truly hope you enjoyed the weekend and had the opportunity to make some memories with family and friends. That's what it's all about. :-)

Like many in the U S, I spent the weekend dodging triple-digit temperatures, with a whopping 108 on Saturday. Whew... thank heavens for A/C.

One thing I did accomplish this weekend was to setup my profile on Google + and I would like to thank Jim Denham for kindly sending an invite.  Be sure to swing by and check out Jim's profile.   I've been planning to jump in at some point but had not gotten around to it before now. I can tell you this, there is a lot of fun to be had with Google + and I think this thing will explode in the near future. So if you're not on as yet, you may want to consider it.  Listen at me, who just got in the door 10 minutes ago, cheering on others. LOL

Need an invite? Hit me up on the contact page, I'm happy to "pay it forward" and help others get in on the fun. Already in the mix? I've installed a widget (top of sidebar) to help connect with others G+ users so we can share in the goodness, or you can simply click here.

On to today's post.

On Saturday night there was a fierce storm in the area so that drove me to get out before dawn Sunday morning to see what the skies had to offer. I ended up at a nearby fresh water lake where I had envisioned some silhouetted fisherman in a fog-shrouded boat. Well, that didn't quite materialize but I was able to get some decent captures.

The image below shows the rental pier for canoes and paddle boats. You'll notice that this leads out into the lake. The skies were clearing and fog was scattered about on this 84 degree at 5:45 morning.

Have a great day, friends!
