Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed the weekend break. It sure seemed very short, so I must have enjoyed the weekend as well. In today's short post we're going to jail. Well, have a look at an old jail anyhow. :-) The images below show a historic jail house from 1904. I located this in Dover Pennsylvania, a small rural town, early one morning. We'll cover it's history below.
As you can see, crime must have been very low, with a jail house this small.
Next we have the front entrance below.
Rather than type in the history of this building, it can easily be seen on a plaque (shown bottom, right above). I thought the plaque explained it well and it can be seen below.
I thought the plaque was a nice touch and it answered some questions I had without having to do any research. But a little research is always a fun thing for me. I located a copy of a site plan online.
