It's About Time!

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed a great weekend. As we have now changed our clocks to observe "Daylight Savings Time" and the weather seems to be moving closer to Spring-like temperatures, I say it's about time. With that in mind, I thought it appropriate to share a precision time machine with you today.

It's About Time
It's About Time

As you can see on the face of this time piece, it was manufactured by E. Howard & Co. of Boston. Formed in 1858 when the Boston Watch Company went under, Edward Howard partnered with Charles Rice who held a lien against the Boston Watch Company. This allowed these two gentlemen to gain access to many of the watches and materials that were in progress when Boston Watch met it's demise. Prior to this business development, Mr. Howard had founded the Howard Clock Co. in 1842.

E. Howard & Co. was known for high quality watches and clocks and Edward Howard, quite an  early time-piece maker in America, bought out the interest of Mr. Rice.

This image in a 3-shot bracket (0, +2, -2) which I ran through Nik's HDR Efex Pro before adding a dash of Topaz Adjust. Lastly I dipped the ole digital brush in for some selective painterly effects.

Thanks you for visiting and may you have a fantastic week.
