Hey, a big THANKS in in order for you all. I really appreciate the support and certainly enjoy visiting your sites and seeing such a wide range of talent. Keeps me inspired. ;-) When I visited New York in November I arrived to an overcast sky followed by an evening and night of cold, heavy rain. Talk about putting a damper on things. "Geez, I just got here", was my thought. No chance to take a single photograph in such a mess.
The following morning I awoke before dawn and the rain had played out, so I was happy for that but wondered what the sky would offer. As the morning light began it was still gloomy and overcast but suddenly the skies began to break in my favor. The image below was taken through a glass window in the hotel as I didn't want to risk missing what was before my eyes at that moment in time. It was not the classic sunrise of storybook fame but hey, sometimes you have to take what you can get. :-)
This was the start of a week-long run of fairly decent weather, to which I shot the town as if would not be there in the future. :-)
Thanks for visiting!
