Welcome to the first day of Summer 2011! On my last visit to Washington DC we swung by the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Park on what turned out to be a wonderful day. Not far from where I had taken some previous shots, I found the fountain featured below.
The image was captured at the absolute worst time of day, where there was plenty of harsh daylight and plenty of people. To avoid the many visitors milling about I positioned myself at the edge of the fountain and captured this on an angle. Would have loved to have had a 10-stop polarizing filter with me, but that wasn't the case, so freeze framing I went.
If you ever have an opportunity to visit this nations Capital city, you should definitely do so and share in the rich history of this area, a photographers paradise.
Have a great day everyone, see you next post!
