In this post we return to the historic B & O Railroad Museum yard where we saw the weathered locomotive, and other out of service cars resting on the rails. I recall my excitement at the number of rail cars scattered about, each of which provided an opportunity to capture one of my favorite topics. It was an overcast morning when I arrived, as shown in the drab and dreary sky below, but that soon gave way to brighter skies.
Having always been fascinated by the railroad, I've captured a large collection of images over time.
The refurbished red caboose below was a nice sight to see.
While the new and refurbished cars are lovely to look at, so are the rusting and well worn vehicles with plenty of mileage and history attached. Hopefully the car below makes it's way into the shop for some much needed overhauling. It's going down fast and will soon be pretty far gone as you can see.
Hope you enjoyed the quick peek at these old work horses.
Have a wonderful day!
