Across the Inlet

Glancing across the inlet. At first glance it seems just part of the world we live in. Much like traveling a highway, the view changes rapidly and often without notice. But taking notice of shoreline scenes can be a very interesting hobby to undertake. For those of us fortunate enough to live near one of these elements of nature's beauty, it can become commonplace, even overlooked. I have always enjoyed my wanderings along the shorelines of the Atlantic Ocean, the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries simply because it is here that the world provides simplistic but wonderful views of the connection between mankind and nature.

The shoreline scene above was taken in Havre de Grace Maryland, the city at the very top of the Chesapeake Bay and a place I have always enjoyed visiting.

Here is a Black & White conversion using Topaz's new Black & White Effects 2, which is now in Beta. I was so happy to get my hands on a sneak peek version. The upgrade is due to be released in mid-February, which means very soon! :-)

I can tell you this, if you are a version 1 user you will not be disappointed because version 2 is greatly improved. I will have a review up later this week.

Settled in 1658, Havre de Grace has a steep history and I look forward to bringing you some of the city's Colonial and Victorian architecture.

Thanks for visiting!
