With apologies to those who have arrived looking for the North American species of goose (Chen caerulescens), and it's elegant beauty, this post covers a different type of Snow Goose, a boat. It's owned by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and serves as a work boat for the Baltimore Harbor Education Program. I love the foundation's tagline, "Saving A National Treasure", which the bay certainly represents. The boat can often be seen loaded with students and young adults, taking them out on educational excursions and teaching them about life on the bay and what this valuable resource means to the environment.
Having come upon the vessel moored in the inner harbor just after sunset one Fall evening, I quickly setup and photographed the scene below.

Couldn't help but notice the many ducks off of the boat's stern. They must know a friendly vessel when they see one. ;-)
Thanks so much for visiting!
