Quick post and run today as I move closer to completion on a client project. I am also running behind on site visits but will catch up and see you latest creations soon. Today I thought I would try something a little different and have posted my first image where I utilized the "Oil Paint" filter in Photoshop CS6. It is one of the many exciting new features in this software package and it really stirs the imagination for me.
Below we have a simple image of a waterman. Having just returned from his commercial fishing trip, he has disconnected this dinghy boat from the larger vessel and has bought a few tools to shore.
Like most plugins and filters, their strength can be their weakness if not used judiciously. Much like HDR processing, one must find their comfort zone in terms of how far you want to push the contrasts and details of any particular image. In this case, the effects of the Oil Paint filter have been lightly applied as shown.
