It's 6:55 in the morning and the sun is just clearing the horizon on this 11 degree day. Winter in the park, a time when you can hear the snow crunching beneath your feet and the rest of the world has yet to stir. Strangely enough, this is one of my favorite times to be out shooting photographs, even in these conditions. Winter in the park creates a look of abandonment as the picnic tables and swing sets await visitors, but none will be coming on this frigid day.

There is something magical about the light of the golden hours and I am drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Could have actually used a flame on this particular morning, come to think of it. :-)
In the far distance runs a river with a fairly nice view from this elevated vantage point. We will have a look at it in a future post.
Thank you for visiting!
