Driving east from downtown Baltimore City along route 150, also known as Eastern Avenue then Eastern Boulevard, you come upon the community of Essex positioned along the western portion of the back River. This tidal estuary runs about 10 miles before meeting the Chesapeake bay. I found myself in the area as the Blue Hour expired one morning and stopped to photograph the bridge that crosses the Back River during sunrise. I don't know if this bridge has an official name and there is nothing particularly unique about it but it did catch my attention under the early morning light.

It was low tide during the time of my visit as evidenced by the exposed water rings around the columns and a few sand bars peeking through the water's surface.
I have always enjoyed Blue Hour Photography, like this trip to Kent Narrows. Each of these seems to create a special memory for me. ;-)
Until next time, thanks for visiting!
