Giddy Up!

Before getting into today's post I wanted to again thank everyone for your feedback, comments,  plus 1s (on Google Plus) and RTs. It really means a lot to me and I so enjoy this photographic community and all of the talented individuals I interact with. You're all awesome! While out early one morning, as I am quite often, I stopped by a lake in hopes of catching a fisherman or two in a boat near the shoreline. I've been after a certain shot for some time and it has eluded me thus far. This particular lake has a nice trail that circles the perimeter and there are often mountain bikers, walkers and sometimes even people on horseback.

Having resigned myself to the fact that my intended target was again not available, I headed back to my vehicle wondering what I could do about the moody sky that begged to serve as a backdrop for something. After reaching the bottom of a steep hill I took one last glance and there it was. Like magic, a couple appeared on horseback from out of nowhere. I hit the prone position like a sniper and waited for the two to cross my field of view. I fired off several sets of handheld brackets and settled on the one below to process. Most of the steep hillside has been cropped out of the frame.

Enjoy!

Kids at Play

Today we have a look at a series of candid shots from a scene I came across recently. I stopped by a section of a popular stream where there is always people enjoying the crystal clear fresh water that runs there. You normally find canoeing, tubing, fishing and general horseplay in and around the water. I noticed a couple of youngsters horsing around and having a ball. They appeared to be brother and sister, although I don't know that for sure. But what really caught my attention was the care-free manner in which they were simply having good old fashioned fun.

Climbing Up

Where could they be climbing?

A game of King & Queen of the hill? She seems a little timid. :-)

We've Reached the Top
We've Reached the Top

We've reached the top, hooray! Now what?

Take a Flying Leap
Take a Flying Leap

Take a flying leap!

You're all wet
You're all wet

Hey I've been bushwacked!

Oh how I'd love to have this shot to take again. Bad positioning allows the bush to obscure the splash.

Ahhh
Ahhh

Now that they survived the leap, a question is likely asked.

Wanna Go Again
Wanna Go Again

Wanna go again!? Huh? Cmon!

Have a great day everyone! :-)
