It happens in every city and town, no matter how large or small. Often it's a good thing while other times, not so much. Nonetheless, time marches on and the cities and towns are transformed into busy places... in the name of progress. We had a look at this very thing in the previous post where the old passes into history. In Towson Maryland, the county seat of Baltimore County, there are several small cemeteries in the heart of town that date back hundreds of years. The town grew up around these final resting places to a point where you have to actually look for them today, which brings me to the image below.

I've always found it fascinating to see the merging of the old and new, as it tells us great stories of history and advancement... in the name of progress.
