Today's post represents the opening of my "Street Scenes" Series where I will feature life in and around cities that I visit. It is my hope that someday in the distant future, someone will view this series of images and wonder how life was back in the early 21st century, much as many of us love to view old photos of life in the early 20th century. This image is an early morning shot looking south outside of the Hilton Garden Inn located in Baltimore's Fells Point section of town. Like most major cities, there are a variety of neighborhoods, each with it's own unique history and Fells Point is certainly no different. Located on the water's edge of the inner harbor, this was once a shipbuilding area and dates back to the early 1700s. Many of the streets in the area are still covered in cobblestone.
