Recently, I came upon this December 2012 image of a quiet afternoon near Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Happy Labor Day! In honor of this U S National Holiday we have a look at one of the great tools that contributed to the agricultural growth and industrialization of this nation.
The McCormick Farmall tractor, first manufactured around 1922, has been a highly reliable and valuable machine to farmers for more than 90 years. Today, McCormick products are distributed to countries around the globe. There was once an assembly operation in Baltimore before being relocated to a new Duluth Georgia facility sometime after 2001.
The Farmall pictured below was photographed in Lancaster County Virginia.
It is nice to see this old workhorse still in operation. I have no idea what year this was manufactured but it has a look of the 1950s.
As often seen on this site, here is a black and white conversion below.
The image began as a hand-held HDR bracket (0, +2, -2) that was processed in Nik's HDR Efex Pro 2 before importing into Lightroom 5 for final retouching.
Thank you so much for visiting!
