Today's post features one of those situations faced by nearly all photographers. What to do with a certain image that for whatever reason, just seems to fall into that "tweener" category. I looked at and processed this image a number of times and never felt that great about posting it (and this is surely not the only one). Well today this one finally leaves the folder of doubt, I'm putting it out there for what it is. That's where you come in. I'm kindly requesting a little critique on this image. I've offered a few PP results to ponder, and I thank you in advance. :-)
Featured: B & O Railroad caboose, well weathered and retired to the rail yard where it likely faces refurbishment and life in the museum.
First up, a color version.
The next version was converted to B&W using Topaz's B&W Effects and it's Cool Tone II filter.
The Lavender Grey Dynamic filter was applied to the next image.
And lastly, Sepia and Selenium II
Well, at least we got a look at a few of the filters included in Topaz's B&W Effects, which is a very nice product in my humble opinion.
Thanks again, and have a wonderful day!
