Today we take a quick spin through the Canton area of downtown Baltimore where there is always plenty of boat traffic, both commercial and private. The image below was taken just as the sun was hitting the horizon to begin the golden hour, which never is a true hour in these parts. :-)

I love this historically rich section of town, which dates back to the early 1800's when many immigrants settled here from Europe. It is right on the waterfront, just off of the Patapsco River, a major shipping channel to the Chesapeake Bay.

We will share some of the areas heritage in future posts.

We often think of black and white imagery and it's association to the past. Above is a conversion totally completed in Photoshop.

At a recent outing with friends in the Canton section of Baltimore we visited one of my favorite seafood restaurants, Bo Brooks (building on the left). After an afternoon of dining fun we decided to walk off some of the food and beverages. A storm was brewing and what had been a picture-perfect day began to look a little threatening. But before departing the area, a few photographic captures were in order. :-)
