I have long enjoyed architecture and building designs, finding many of the elements to be attractive

Old Loco

Hello everyone! Thanks for your comments, RTs, FB Likes and all-around support on the previous post. I appreciate it very much.

It's been some time since I've produced an image of one of my favorite topics, trains. The last one was this railcar abstract, which I enjoyed processing. Today we view another, similarly processed locomotive, with it's weathering exterior and look of sheer power. This resident of the B & O Railroad Museum was built in the early 1900s and has found it's way onto the digital canvas. Like many other old trains at this facility, it may be headed to the restoration shop and given a new life.

Enjoy!

An old locomotive like this deserves a B & W conversion, just for old time's sake.

Railcar Abstract

As photographers we are always looking to expand upon our skills and present a variety of post processing styles. Besides the fact that we don't want to be one-trick-ponies, it always nice to change things up a little for the sake of interest. Most will not stray too far from their best techniques but who knows what one can do if one never tries. Today we change things up just a bit with a painterly look. Below is an image taken at the B & O Railroad Museum. It's one of a collection of abstracts I've collected with the intention of creating a little fine art for the gallery.
