Along the Jetty

Along the Jetty

The Rehoboth Jazz Fest was having it's 25th annual event and we had been looking forward to this for some time now. Me and the Mrs. hooked up with "The Crew" and had another grand time, as we always seem to experience when we all get together.

Anyhow, photography was somewhat secondary to this trip and it felt good to have no real "target list" to work through. Besides, time flies when you're having fun and there was plenty of that. :-)

Nonetheless, I found time to get out and give the camera a little play while in the area. So I went to my tried-and-true routine of getting out there during the wee hours of the morning and headed to the beach.

Just a Dash of Color

In a previous post we had a look at some decorative farm implements that grabbed my attention just about each time I drove past this property. In this post a rural backyard gets a dash of color in this black & white image. This was processed as a 3-bracket HDR then converted in Topaz Lab's B&W Effects, where I applied the Warm Tone II Smooth filter in the Traditional Collection section. I then pulled the B&W and HDR into PS for a dash of selective color.

By the way, Topaz B&W Effects remains on sale until 9/18/11 with $30 off. Simply enter the code bwandbeyond at checkout for the instant discount.
