The sun sets o a beautiful day in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Continuing the thoughts of warmer weather theme, we have some beach town signs seen outside of a shop in Bethany Beach, Delaware. This could very well be a storefront in any beach town or seaside resort area, where there are souvenir shops that stretch for great distances.

It was reported that Punxsutawney Phil failed to see his shadow this past Groundhog Day so an early Spring should be coming soon. I don't particularly believe in that sort of legendary hocus-pocus, but I'll gladly accept the prediction.
More likely, there will be another 6 to 8 week run for that wonderful time of year we all love and cherish.
Beach town signs, coming to a shoreline near you, soon, we hope. :-)
In the previous post we had a look at a new Atlantic City Hotel. Today we find ourselves further down the boardwalk where one can find all sorts of eateries and dining. It's where I found the American hamburger franchise, Johnny Rockets and a couple of patrons standing outside. I had been working my way toward the steel pier while grabbing some architectural shots but decided to capture a candid of this couple.
Were they deciding whether or not to get fries?
Who knows, after taking the shot I moved on.
In post processing I wanted to keep a bit of a soft look so I ran this through Topaz Adjust after the initial HDR Efex Pro treatment. Hope you enjoyed the burger. ;-)
Thanks for visiting!
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you enjoyed a very nice weekend. Part of this weekend was spent in Atlantic City as we celebrated the birthday of a dear friend. We really had a great time just hanging out and enjoying ourselves.
Today's image was taken on the boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue and shows the soon to be open (April 2012) Revel Atlantic City Resort and Hotel. It certainly looks like a real beauty from the outside and I'll be returning for an inside look after the dust settles. I understand that the interior will be sporting an ocean theme, which only makes sense here on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Can hardly wait to see it. :-)
I captured this image as the sun was rapidly falling and the sky was transitioning toward the "blue hour". This is one of the last sunset shots of the day.

Being a fan of architecture, I couldn't stand here without zooming in for a closer look at those beautiful glass windows. You'll also notice that the place is well secured. There is a policeman on a bike and a patrol car stationed nearby.
Nothing like a brand new hotel and casino to draw a crowd of people and you can bet this place will be hopping. This may be one of the last images of so few individuals in and around this building. ;-)
Have a great day and thanks for visiting!
