Bond Street Social

In this post I return to one of my favorite topics, architecture. Often I wander the streets of urban areas in search of eye-catching buildings and commercial establishments.  On one such occasion I came upon the Bond Street Social in the Fells Point area of downtown Baltimore. It's a part of the old Bond Street Wharf, shown here in a previous post from 2011.

The Bond Street Social is an upscale dining and party establishment that offers a wonderful atmosphere and location to hang out and gather. They specialize in global cuisine, including dishes unique to the Chesapeake Bay area. I was in the area one morning and their storefront caught my eye while showing some nice reflections in the windows. There are times when I find the reflections as attractive as the main subject. :-)

Downtown Morning Light

As the early morning night transitions from the overnight darkness on the heels of a storm, we are rewarded with a clearing and colorful sky.  This is another installment in my street scenes series. Taken in downtown Baltimore on a recent early morning, I wondered what weather would greet me.  As it turned out it became a 3-h day (hazy, hot & humid) with temperatures in the low 90s. In the foreground you'll notice an extended crane, put in place to cover the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix. The crane serves as a camera mount for a sports TV network.

Enjoy the day folks, and we'll see you along the way. :-)
