Empty Slip

Empty Slip

Let's take a quick trip to the Yankee Point Marina in Lancaster Virginia where there is an empty slip. Perhaps the boat is out at sea. It was an early morning this past Summer (2012), as the sun began it's ascent on what turned out to be another in a string of 100 degree (F) days. No matter the temperatures, it's hard to beat a day on or near the water. :-)

Fishing the Inlet

Happy Friday! Thursday. Gee, my Friday post launched a day early (oops!). Computers... always doing what you asked them to do. LOL

It's been a whirlwind week of sorts, so today will be a quick post from the road. One of the favorite pastimes you'll see in and around beach towns is people fishing. I captured these folks hanging out at Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach. I recall the day being one of those roasting hot ones with temperatures approaching 100, but it did not deter these anglers from their mission.

Enjoy!

Night Fishing on the Pier

Quick post today folks, I'm too busy loafing! LOL Under a dark sky and and hot and heavy air that you can wear, determined fishermen (and women) tough it out in their quest to catch a memory. This popular fishing pier, located on 15th Street in Virginia Beach, is open 24-7. I have fished this pier on many occasions as well and one of the things that makes it such a draw is the fact that one can never know what you may catch. It's the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean and anything may happen by. :-)

Have a great day!
