Caesars Atlantic City

Happy Friday, everyone! It's been another great week in the photo blog community with so many inspiring images being created. It's truly a pleasure to visit many of the sites on the circuit. Like many of you, I wish there was more time to hangout and enjoy.

Today it's a quick spin through Atlantic City and a night shot of Caesars Atlantic City Casino. The clock tower in the foreground is part of a facade attached to buildings and shops surrounding Caesars. But I liked the pastel look of it and decided to split the tower with the corner of the building behind it.

One last look... a monotone conversion, which ties the two structures together.

Trump Taj Mahal

Today we take a quick trip back to Atlantic City, New Jersey to peek at the Trump Taj Mahal. This is not to be confused with the real Taj Mahal in India as this is all about opulence and gaming. You know, that entertainment designed to separate you from you money. ;-) In any case, Atlantic City has some awesome architecture which is one of my favorite things to photograph. Below are a couple of images of the exterior.

My eye was drawn to these spires and lighting. The cost of building something like this must be astronomical. But then, it's only (casino) money.

Next we have a look at one of the staircases leading to the hotel.

Ballys

Well we've reached hump day, but things have hardly slowed for me of late. So it's a quick post and dash today. Before leaving the Atlantic City scene behind I'd like to share this night shot of the Ballys Casino. As you stroll along the boardwalk, it sort of grabs your attention standing in the distance with a night sky behind it.

Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon. ;-)

Revel Atlantic City

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you enjoyed a very nice weekend. Part of this weekend was spent in Atlantic City as we celebrated the birthday of a dear friend. We really had a great time just hanging out and enjoying ourselves.

Today's image was taken on the boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue and shows the soon to be open (April 2012) Revel Atlantic City Resort and Hotel. It certainly looks like a real beauty from the outside and I'll be returning for an inside look after the dust settles. I understand that the interior will be sporting an ocean theme, which only makes sense here on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Can hardly wait to see it. :-)

I captured this image as the sun was rapidly falling and the sky was transitioning toward the "blue hour". This is one of the last sunset shots of the day.

Being a fan of architecture, I couldn't stand here without zooming in for a closer look at those beautiful glass windows. You'll also notice that the place is well secured. There is a policeman on a bike and a patrol car stationed nearby.

Nothing like a brand new hotel and casino to draw a crowd of people and you can bet this place will be hopping. This may be one of the last images of so few individuals in and around this building. ;-)

Have a great day and thanks for visiting!
