A quick post today as we share this image of the Baltimore Public Works Museum in downtown Baltimore on Pier 7. The building itself was built around 1912 and has served as a pumping station. Inside the museum there is a behind-the-scenes look at the operation of a public works department that supports a major city. These are the folks who are responsible for the infrastructure of the city. From the city's lighting, water supply, roadway maintenance, storm drainage system and a host of other services, it all happens from the management of this agency.
We will share some of the goodies found on the inside in some future posts.
Thanks for visiting!
