In the previous post I mentioned my visit to one of my favorite getaways, Maryland's Eastern Shore. While there I took a quick side trip to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge which is located about a dozen miles south of Cambridge. The refuge, which consists of some 28,000 acres of marsh, wetlands and forests was established in 1933 to provide a habitat for migratory birds that use the Atlantic Flyway.
In my previous post I mentioned the fact that I had attended the 2014 Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. Today I we share a couple more images from that event.
