A recent trip had me out in the cold for some fun. The main attraction of course was Niagara Falls where the frigid winter of 2015 had frozen the Niagara river and the Horseshoe and American Falls. Since this rarely happens I definitely wanted to shoot some photographs of it.
In today's post we share a photograph taken during the back end of the evening blue hour. Footbridges have a way of enhancing the surrounding landscape,
New York, the city with the millions of lights and people that never sleep. or so it seems. There is always activity in the streets of this wonderful city.
Welcome to the first full weekend of Spring! While Nature's signs of Spring have yet to show themselves here in the Mid Atlantic Region, it is nice to know that this will occur most any day now.
Our image today focuses on night driving with this long exposure scene of Exit 36 along i83 in northern Baltimore County. There is something inviting about the open road at night that I have always enjoyed. Perhaps it's the fact the visibility is limited and thereby provides a bit of mystery for what lies ahead.
The scene below was taken from an embankment along the roadside that I accessed from a bridge along York Road.
As a photographer, have you ever been out and just decided to stop and take a photo for no particular reason?
I have no idea what compelled me to stop and create this image, it was on pure instinct, but in hindsight I am glad to have created the memory. :-)
Thanks for stopping by for a quick peek and have a great weekend!
