In this post we take a look inside the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum where many historic and vintage vehicles have been preserved and are on display. This place is loaded with history, from signal lights that have saved lives to actual seating from train stations to 19th century luggage, its all here to see and enjoy.
The Pennsylvania Railroad, aka "Pennsy", was once the proud owner of this historic steam locomotive numbered 1223. This is known as a 4-4-0 configuration, that is, 4 leading wheels followed by 4 powered wheels and no (0) trailing wheels.
A recent inquiring into licensing of one of my images for a book had me delving back into the archives. While doing so I realized that I had not posted many railroad photos lately so it was a good time to cruise through the files and dust off some that have not seen the light of day since they were first captured.
