Dawn begins anew in this blue hour image created along the shores of Town Creek, just off of the Corrotoman River in Millenbeck, Virginia. Several days of rain had preceded my arrival and there was plenty of standing water along the shoulders of the roadways but as nature always does, she delivered a beautiful morning after the storms cleared the coastline.
The image in this post was created during the 2014 Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. I will always have fond memories of that great morning and it's surreal atmosphere with hundreds of photographers surrounding the DC Tidal Basin awaiting the sunrise.
Architectural styles have evolved throughout history, from the Neolithic and Sumerian styles of some 8000 years ago to the high-tech Late Modernism creations of today. All along, becoming more functional and creative. Makes one wonder what creative styles will be seen in the next millennia.
