As a photographer, the early morning hours are hard to beat. There is that peace and solitude that makes getting up all worth while. Toward the end of this past Summer I made a trip to the Federal Hill section of downtown Baltimore where a park sits atop the hill and the views are really good. I've been here countless times before, in fact, it's where this image was created. On this occasion I arrived just as the sun was beginning to rise. Setting up quickly, I caught the image below as the sun first broke over the horizon and peeked between the trees.
I grabbed a few more shots, which I've yet to process, then sat and enjoyed the view before moving on.
Prior to leaving the area a cabin cruiser (love those things) was heading out for a morning cruise. I remember wishing I was on board, since it was a spectacular morning. Anyhow, I wasn't but grabbed the memory as seen below.
