Trees are pretty common subjects for outdoor photography either as the star or in a supporting role. They have a certain majestic feel to them that has me constantly on the lookout for those that may fit well in a scene.
With the Fall colors now long gone and old man Winter less than three weeks away I have reluctantly entertained thoughts of those cold days with snow on the ground. The transition came quickly this year so there was little choice but to embrace what had arrived.
On the way to see a natural bridge we could see the rough surf crashing into the shoreline, kicking water some 20 to 30 feet in the air at times. The aqua green water quickly turned to deep blue just a few feet off of the coast, indicating that the water there becomes very deep very quickly.
