After the long, brutally cold Winter that brought us record low temperatures and record high snow accumulations, we are now only a few days from the start of Spring. I've been on the lookout for the early signs like Jonquils and Tulips breaking ground and Robins strutting about in search of worms. No luck so far but any day now, and it will be official.
While out driving a few days ago my eyes were drawn skyward as the sun descended toward the horizon. It's difficult to ignore a colorful sky, particularly when the colors become very intense. With the sun this low in the sky, you have to find somewhere to setup quickly.
Trees are pretty common subjects for outdoor photography either as the star or in a supporting role. They have a certain majestic feel to them that has me constantly on the lookout for those that may fit well in a scene.
